When one leaves Hmayak Bdeyan's exhibitions, it is always with a pleasant and good feeling inside. I remember how Hmayak Bdeyan moved from Tbilisi to Yerevan. I also remember how he rose rapidly in a short amount of time. He traversed the creative path of his career before my very eyes, from the first step up to achieving mastery. His arrival in Armenia coincided with the years of development of ceramic art. Not only did he actively participate in that process, he shaped its future. And now when we look at Bdeyan we see a master of ceramics, someone with his own unique character, one who shapes the clay according to his will, with a profound sense of plasticity, with skillful mastery of national traditions and a modern touch, an artist with a lot of patience, the products of whose hands decorate many a house and street, many a park and square...
Today, one can say with confidence that a whole new tradition in Bdeyan's style has established itself in art.
