Commentaire :THE HOLY CROSS SEMINARY is more than a religious school; it is an Institution of higher education. It has three sections: a) The Secondary school of three years, b) The Liceum or the High school section of three years, c) The Seminary- proper of 3 or 4 years. Those who have finished a primary school of five years with higher marks, are eligible for the Secondary section. After graduating the High School section, he who desires to become a clergyman is ordained a deacon, and accepted in the Seminary-proper section-Undzayaran. The remaining graduates usually attend various faculties of the Istanbul University or the American Robert College. We have now 8 graduates of Tibrevank studying in the Robert College. Others are studying in countries as far as England and America, as well as at the American University of Beirut. |
