INTRODUCTION

'Songs For You', a collection of lyrical poems by Alice Odabashian are the songs of joy of a gentle, noble soul.
Tey are the songs of an everyoung heart, that vibrates in awe of nature and pulsates in concert with life's beauty.
And finally the songs of an Armenian woman, who, through her noble morality, is searching for the meaning of life.
Alice Odabashian sings with youthful zest. Her imaginative interior monologues have manifested themselves into poems of vivid colour.
These songs carry the stamp of experience of a life well-lived.
The mature ideas and beautiful thoughts are expressed in a simple poetic manner and thus are easily accessible.
Poetry, more than any other art, has it's domain the person of the writer.
Alice Odabashian, through 'Songs For You' is well worth getting acquainted with.
S.M.
