PREFACEThis handbook of quotations Is a collection of references to Armenia and Armenians, selected from books and articles written by non-Armenian authors. It was prepared in response to the interest of young people and adults to learn about the Armenian religious and cultural heritage, as seen through the eyes of authors whose works are available in English.
The average reader does not have the opportunity to read so many books written by non-Armenian writers about various aspects of the Armenian faith, culture, political life and contributions. These quotations form a treasury of historical tidbits regarding the achievements of Armenians.
Some quotations overlay and present identical statements, where an author has many quotable statements about Armenians, only those passages have been selected which present a particular significance.
This booklet is being made available through St. Nersess School in the hope that the readers will find it interesting and enlightening.
